Deauville & Trouville

The real estate gets pretty nice as you enter Deauville.

On Normandy tour continued as we made our way to the sister communities of Deauville and Trouville. Deauville is of course the more popular of the two are it is well known racecourse, casionos, beautiful houses, and international film festival. The town is is certainly high class and has a fitting nickname as "Queen of the Norman Beaches".

As we made our way through the streets of the two towns, Corine spotted an open air market and the decisionwas made to stop and pick-up the esentials for a great little picnic. Two types of cheese, rossette de lyon, fresh vegetables, baguettes, cider, strawberries, and a little dessert. We were set and made our way to the beach where we spread out some beach towels and enjoyed a little lunch. It wasn't particularly warm, but the sun was out and we were determined to enjoy being on the beach. After that, it was time to move on and leave the "Queen" in search of other adventures.

Mindy, Corine, & Robert did into the picnic lunch on the beach in Deauville.

The open air market supplied the elements for our lunch.
